Beach Lubenice - Cres

Next to Žanja Cove there is a beautiful shingle beach Sveti Ivan, considered to be one of the most beautiful secluded beaches in the world. This beach was listed 15th on the German magazine Bild’s list of the “40 most beautiful beaches in the world”. The beach is located in a cove under Lubenice, a village on a cliff with a fascinating view of the white shingle beach, one of the most beautiful ones on the island of Cres. The beach can be reached on foot from Lubenice, or by boat. What makes this beach so alluring is its seclusion, pristine nature, and its scents. Since it is not easy to reach, not many people endeavour to go there – which makes it ideal for relaxation. The beach can be reached on foot down a precipitous path from Lubenice, or by boat. There are no facilities of any sort at the beach, so make sure to bring enough food and water to last through the day.

Humans fill their own living space and the space of the next generations with waste that comes from production and consumption. This waste pollutes the living elements (water, air and soil) on which life on Earth depends. More than 60% of people on Earth live by the sea or at sea and therefore protecting our seas is extremenly important.
