Beach Kovačine - Cres

At the north end of Cres lies the beautiful Kovačine beach. It’s located within the inhabited area, as a part of a homonymous campsite. The beach has access to an entire array of facilities, from accommodation facilities of the campsite to bars and restaurants. There are many points of interest which might catch your attention. You can try diving or attend an entire diving course here at the diving base. South of the beach there’s a hotel, as well as a choice of private accommodation. The configuration of the beach varies from concrete plateaus to gravel with rocks rising from the deep. One section of the beach is an FKK-designated area.

How to get to the beach

The beach can be reached on foot (a 20-minute walk from Cres city centre), by bike, or by car. We recommend a stroll along the coast: you can enjoy the easy walk, see other beaches along the way, or make a stop at one of the bars along the way and have a refreshing drink.

Let's Protect the Environment

Humans fill their own living space and the space of the next generations with waste that comes from production and consumption. This waste pollutes the living elements (water, air and soil) on which life on Earth depends. More than 60% of people on Earth live by the sea or at sea and therefore protecting our seas is extremenly important.
