🎨 Exhibition Opening: Nine Island Stories
In the impressive setting of the Moise Palace in the old town of Cres, an exhibition of costume design work by textile and clothing designer Vesna Jakić will be opened. The nine unique dresses are made of felted wool, inspired by the nature, history and spirit of the island of Cres.
The dresses are the result of an artistic collaboration with jazz singer Astrid Kuljanić and photographer Francesco Moretti, and unusual decorations such as shells, parts of fishing nets, pebbles and hornet nests were used in their creation, further emphasizing the connection with the island landscape.
Some dresses are also completed with matching headpieces, and the exhibition is accompanied by a documentary photo projection that captures the process of creation and the context of the stories each dress carries.
The exhibition is open until the end of August.
Free entrance.
