We invite you to the lecture: Our Star the Sun: The Magical World of Plasma
which will be given by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sc. Ivana Poljančić Beljan from the Faculty of Physics, University of Rijeka as part of the UNIRI for Cres program.
The lecture will discuss dynamic phenomena on the Sun such as sunspots, flares and coronal mass ejections, as well as the 11-year cycle of solar activity. Special emphasis will be placed on the role of the magnetic field and plasma motion, as well as the differential rotation of the Sun, key processes for understanding the solar dynamo.
